Th Ring Mountains

The Ring (Mountains) are a singular chain that formed in the wake of J'Hadahiri N'eth-Bani's destruction by Asher.  The Three-Sands Desert literally transformed overnight; the yellow sand became the mountains themselves, that drain travelers of their energy during the heat of the day but hold vast reservoirs of perfect, energy-replenishing water stored in crystals formed inside the peaks.  The black and white sands became a hillside forest and valley floor respectively.  The soil, groundwater, and plant life in the forest all store enough residual magic to either cause mind-bending hallucinations and consuming too much can turn a person into a thrall.  The residual magic on the valley floor has yet to be discovered.
